We Love Being a Part of the Federal Way, Washington Community

Federal Way, Washington

Need to feel refreshed? Do you need to take a break from the chaos life can bring? Only 25 minutes from the south point of Seattle and 15 minutes north of Tacoma lays the city of Federal Way. This wonderful city is beautifully placed between two mountain ranges, the Cascade Mountains as it offers a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic mountain range. Not only does this city have majestic mountains to gaze upon but it also is nestled against the shoreline of the Puget Sound inlet, which brings about breathtaking sunsets and beautiful views. Despite its location, Federal Way offers a bit more of a quieter and relaxed way of seeing the Pacific Northwest. However, it is not lacking in natural beauty or attractions that will create memories your family will be talking about for years to come.

AWR Restoration & Cleaning is committed, reliable and determined to meet all your needs when the unexpected happens, and we are proud to serve and take care of the Federal Way community and here are a few reasons why:

Main Attractions

Wild Waves! When you walk into this park you hear a combination of sounds of people screaming on a fast rollercoaster as well as splashes from people whooshing down massive water slides. This amazing park is Washington’s only theme park that combines with fun water attractions. This park has it all, from exhilarating rides that
are up to 75 feet tall giving you a thrill of a lifetime to waterslides that will cool you off in the heat of the day. This park is open seasonally but also opens up around Halloween for a shrill and a thrill and in December for an “oooh and awww” lights galore that brings holiday cheer to your season. You will laugh, scream, splash, and play which will always leave you with a memorable and fun-filled day. Another cool attraction Federal Way has is that it is home to the King County Aquatic center that holds many national swimming events. There have even been past Olympic trial competitions that have used this pool. Not only is there an Olympic sized pool but also there are pirate-themed water features that make it fun and adventurous for the children to play.

Nature attractions

There is so much beauty to be found in Federal Way, one way is through the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden. This fabulous garden is an organization
that is committed to conserving, displaying, and distributing all types of Rhododendrons. This spectacle houses over 700 of these types of plants within the garden out of the more than 1000 that are scattered around the world. Another place that is nice to get away to is the West Hylebos Wetlands. This is a piece of nature in which you can take a deep breath and enjoy the quietness and nature sound as you explore and leisurely walk along the trails. There are multiple types of trails you can explore, from muddy all the way to ones that turn into a boardwalk. As you travel through you will enter into a forest that surrounds you with magnificent giant red cedars, hemlocks and Douglas fir trees. As you go through the loop in which the trail takes you there are destination spots that you can sit down on a bench and take it all in. You can breathe in the fresh air while breathing out the business of life. What a great place to be rejuvenated and refreshed.

Outdoor recreation

Federal Way has beautiful parks that allow you and your family to get out and do something active. One great park to attend is Dash Point Park, a fun place for water
recreation. This park provides a sandy beach for a relaxing sunbathing time or for the children to make sand castles. It also has a section that is available for camping. Dash Point is perfect for kayaking, fishing, skim boarding and to just enjoy the coolness of the water. Steel Park is awesome for the entire family. It has fun activities for all ages. This beach park offers a playground, great places to picnic, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, fishing and a boat launch for non-motorized watercraft. Federal Way gives families an opportunity to do life together while enjoying the great outdoors.

Festivals

This city does an amazing job of creating places and spaces for people to enjoy nature, however, an artists world does not go unnoticed. Federal Way holds the annual Northwest Sand Festival where artists from all around the world come to sculpt sand creating a beautiful masterpiece. Fusion Summer Art is another festival that takes place in Federal Way. This festival allows artists to display paintings, blown glass, jewelry, and pottery. The Fusion Summer Art festival is a wonderful experience and is done to help benefit the homeless within the community. Beauty is found in multiple ways in Federal Way, through natural beauty, the beauty of laughter and fun and through other beautiful minds as they show creativity through their handy work. What a great community to be a part of.
